Terms of sale
Last updated: September 4, 2026
These Terms of Sale apply to any paid subscription to Webopolis taken out by a brand, and supplement the Terms of Use. In the event of conflict, the Terms of Sale prevail on anything related to payment and subscriptions.
1. Offer
Webopolis offers a monthly, yearly or two-year subscription giving a brand a facade visible in the city, for a given business sector and geographic scope (a single city, or a national sector including one city). Current plans and pricing are shown on the Pricing page and may change; the price that applies is the one shown at the time of subscription.
No commission is deducted from sales made by the brand on its own site: Webopolis only charges the display subscription, regardless of the revenue generated.
2. 0% commission — a contractual commitment
Webopolis never deducts, asks to know, or charges any commission or percentage on sales made by a subscribed brand, whatever the amount. The only amount owed by the brand is the subscription price shown at the time of subscription and at each renewal. This commitment is an integral part of the contract and can only be changed through an amendment to these Terms of Sale, notified under the conditions of section 8.
3. Founders offer
Any brand whose account is created before 1 January 2027 gets the founders offer: the subscription is free through 30 June 2027 inclusive, for all founding brands, whatever their sign-up date. A bank card is requested when subscribing, but nothing is charged during this period.
When the free period ends, the card is automatically charged at the price of the chosen plan, with a 50% discount on the first subscription period: 6 months on the monthly plan, 1 year on the annual plan, 2 years on the biennial plan. A reminder email is sent before the first charge. The brand can cancel at any time from its account before that date, owing nothing.
The founders offer is granted once per brand: cancelling and later re-subscribing does not restore the free period or the discount. Brands created from 1 January 2027 subscribe at the standard price as soon as they go live.
4. Payment terms
Payment is made by card via our payment provider Stripe, at the time of subscription and at each billing cycle (monthly, yearly or two-year, depending on the plan chosen). Webopolis does not store any card data: it is processed directly by Stripe.
If a payment fails at renewal, the facade stays visible for a 7-day grace period; after that, it is suspended until payment is completed.
5. Commitment period and cancellation
The subscription has no minimum commitment beyond the billing period chosen (monthly, yearly or two-year): it renews automatically at each due date unless cancelled.
You can cancel at any time from your brand dashboard (Stripe customer portal, accessible from the dashboard). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current, already-paid period; the facade stays visible until that date.
6. Refund policy
Amounts paid for a subscription period already under way are non-refundable, except in the event of a billing error attributable to Webopolis. In the event of a proven, prolonged service outage preventing the facade from being displayed, a credit or pro-rata refund may be granted on request to [email protected].
7. VAT
Prices are currently shown without VAT, as the publisher currently falls under the French VAT exemption scheme (article 293 B of the CGI). Should this regime change, displayed prices would be updated accordingly and a compliant invoice issued for each payment.
8. Changes to these Terms of Sale
Any material change to these Terms of Sale (other than pricing adjustments for new subscriptions) is communicated by email to subscribed brands, with reasonable notice before it applies to existing subscriptions.
9. Brand impersonation and liability
Webopolis carries out identity checks (domain, officers, logo) and provides a reporting mechanism, but cannot guarantee that no one will attempt to impersonate a third party's brand. Webopolis cannot be held liable for the consequences of brand impersonation committed by a user, nor for content published by brands on their facades or websites.
As soon as a report or serious indication of impersonation reaches us ([email protected] or the dedicated form), we undertake to use our best efforts, as quickly as possible, to remedy it: hiding the facade concerned, review, and suspension or termination where appropriate, under the conditions set out in the Terms of Use. This is an obligation of means.
10. Governing law
These Terms of Sale are governed by French law.
